Animal Management Lecturer

Salary: £28,056 - £34,492 per annum

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Animal Welfare & Management Lecturer to join a thriving land-based college and inspire the next generation of animal care professionals.

Our client is a well-established specialist college set within a beautiful countryside campus, offering outstanding facilities and a hands-on learning environment. With a strong reputation for vocational education, the college is committed to providing learners with the skills, knowledge, and industry experience needed to succeed in the animal care sector.

You will deliver engaging and practical Animal Welfare & Management lessons across a range of programmes, supporting learners to develop the skills and knowledge required for careers within the animal care industry.

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Animal Welfare & Management programmes
• Support learners to achieve positive outcomes and progression opportunities
• Act as a course tutor, monitoring attendance, progress, and student wellbeing
• Participate in practical demonstrations and industry-related learning activities
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
• Support student recruitment activities, including open events and careers fairs

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Welfare, Animal Management, Animal Science, or a related discipline
• Relevant industry experience within the animal care sector
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) or willingness to work towards one
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
