Architect

Conrad Consulting Ltd

We're looking for an Architect with around 3-5 years' post-Part III experience to join a growing team delivering high-quality residential care and retirement living developments across the UK.

Based at our client's modern Leeds office (LS27) conveniently located just off the M62, you'll become part of a collaborative team specialising in designing communities that genuinely improve quality of life. Projects focus on creating modern care homes and retirement living developments that combine thoughtful, people-centred design with technical excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, working alongside experienced architects, technologists and development professionals. You'll play a key role in leading design development, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality schemes through every stage of the RIBA Plan of Work.

The Role

As an Architect, you'll lead the design and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages, ensuring schemes are creative, commercially viable and technically robust.

Working within a multidisciplinary development team, you'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and planning through to construction and completion—on a range of residential and specialist accommodation developments.

About the Projects

You'll work on a portfolio of award-winning residential care and retirement living developments, including:

  • Care homes
  • Retirement living communities
  • Multi-room residential accommodation
  • Mixed-use and specialist residential developments

Many of our schemes are delivered on a full turnkey basis, providing the opportunity to influence projects from land acquisition and concept design through to completion and handover.

  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and the wider development team to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
  • Attend client meetings, design team meetings and site visits throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor programme, design quality and project performance while resolving design and technical issues as they arise.

Professional Development

  • Work alongside experienced senior architects and development professionals on a varied portfolio of projects.
  • Develop your project leadership and client management skills.
  • Contribute to design reviews, best practice initiatives and continuous improvement across the practice.
