An Architectural Technologist is required to join a well-established and growing architectural practice based in Central Leeds. Our client has over 15 years' experience delivering a diverse range of Architectural, Interior design and Health & safety services across a wide variety of sectors. Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Architectural Technologist to join their close-knit team. This role would suit an ambitious Technologist looking to progress their career into a job running role in the future. Our client works across a broad range of sectors including Commercial, Retail, Residential, Leisure, Hospitality, Education and refurbishment projects. Our client has recently secured a large framework, with fast-paced projects will involve surveying existing buildings, developing proposals, identifying finishes and producing technical information for contractors to price and deliver. The successful Architectural Technologist will also have the opportunity to work across the wider portfolio, ensuring the role remains varied and providing exposure to multiple sectors and project types.
The successful Architectural Technologist will ideally have strong technical experience, with a particular focus from RIBA Stages 4 onwards and the ability to take a brief through to a deliverable technical package. Revit is preferred, although strong AutoCAD skills combined with some Revit experience will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Architectural Technologist looking to develop their career within a small, collaborative practice, with genuine scope to become a key member of the business. As the workload continues to grow, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop client-facing responsibilities, progress into a job-running position and ultimately help build and lead their own team.

Architectural Technologist Position Overview
- Work as part of a close-knit architectural and design team on a diverse range of projects
- Take project briefs through to detailed technical information, predominantly across RIBA Stage 4 onwards
- Produce high-quality technical drawings and architectural information using AutoCAD and ideally Revit
- Carry out site surveys and assess existing buildings, finishes and layouts
- Develop refurbishment proposals and technical packages suitable for contractor pricing and delivery
- Liaise with clients, contractors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
- Attend client meetings, contribute to discussions and assist with presenting proposals
- Gain exposure to Commercial, Retail, Residential, Leisure, Hospitality, Education and Office projects
- Manage multiple fast-paced projects and deadlines
- Work closely with the directors and wider team within a flat management structure
- Develop into a more client-facing and commercially focused position
- Take increasing ownership of projects and client relationships as experience develops

Architectural Technologist Position Requirements
- 3+ years' experience within an architectural practice, consultancy or similar built environment environment
- Relevant Architectural Technology, Architecture or equivalent qualification
- Strong technical knowledge with experience producing detailed architectural information
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Experience using Revit would be highly advantageous, although candidates with limited Revit experience will be considered
- Good understanding of technical design, construction detailing and architectural information
- Experience working across RIBA Stage 4 would be advantageous
- Commercial, retail, refurbishment, residential or leisure experience would be beneficial
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients and contractors
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple fast-paced projects
- Ambitious and keen to progress into a job-running/client-facing position
- Personable, collaborative and confident working within a small team
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Keen to develop their technical, commercial and professional skills
- Lives within a commutable distance of Leeds
- Full UK driving licence would be advantageous
