Location: Surrey

Salary: £35-43,000

I am working with a highly regarded architectural practice to recruit an Architectural Technologist to join their growing team in Surrey. Working across the Residential, Healthcare and Education sectors, the practice has a strong commitment to sustainability and an ambition to achieve net-zero in the coming years. This is a great opportunity for a technically focused Architectural Technologist who shares this vision and is passionate about delivering high-quality projects.



Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the technical delivery and coordination of architectural projects.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings, Building Regulations applications, tender documentation and construction drawing packages.
  • Develop construction details and technical design information in line with project requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, Building Control, consultants and contractors.
  • Assist with feasibility studies, planning applications and supporting documentation.
  • Develop project specifications using NBS where required.
  • Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, legislation and relevant industry standards.
  • Attend site visits, project meetings and technical inspections as required.
  • Provide technical and administrative support throughout the lifecycle of each project.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider design team to ensure projects are coordinated and delivered effectively.


About You

  • Relevant experience as an Architectural Technologist within the UK.
  • A strong understanding of UK construction methods, technical detailing and Building Regulations.
  • Experience producing detailed technical and construction drawing packages.
  • Experience using NBS for specification writing would be beneficial.
  • Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit, with good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with clients, consultants and contractors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical design.
  • Well organised, self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
