Location: Surrey
Salary: £35-43,000
I am working with a highly regarded architectural practice to recruit an Architectural Technologist to join their growing team in Surrey. Working across the Residential, Healthcare and Education sectors, the practice has a strong commitment to sustainability and an ambition to achieve net-zero in the coming years. Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the technical delivery and coordination of architectural projects.
- Produce detailed technical drawings, Building Regulations applications, tender documentation and construction drawing packages.
- Develop construction details and technical design information in line with project requirements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, Building Control, consultants and contractors.
- Assist with feasibility studies, planning applications and supporting documentation.
- Develop project specifications using NBS where required.
- Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, legislation and relevant industry standards.
- Attend site visits, project meetings and technical inspections as required.
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Work collaboratively with the wider design team to ensure projects are coordinated and delivered effectively.
About You
- Relevant experience as an Architectural Technologist within the UK.
- A strong understanding of UK construction methods, technical detailing and Building Regulations.
- Experience producing detailed technical and construction drawing packages.
- Experience using NBS for specification writing would be beneficial.
- Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit, with good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical design.
- Well organised, self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
