Role: Area Business Consultant
Location: Hybrid – covering Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire
Salary: From £27,000 plus uncapped commission

Our client is looking for an ambitious Area Business Consultant to help shape the future of businesses and learners through high-quality apprenticeship and training solutions.

As an Area Business Consultant, you will engage with prospective and existing clients to generate new business opportunities across a range of sectors. You will promote our client's full portfolio of apprenticeship programmes, funded training and commercial training solutions. Working closely with the local team, you will help achieve learner enrolment targets while representing our client at networking events and within the local business community.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern, combining home working with travel to client sites and networking events across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities.
  • Research potential clients and business prospects within the assigned region.
  • Build relationships with local partners and businesses to identify new opportunities.
  • Travel to meet prospective clients and partners to develop new business.
  • Arrange and deliver client meetings and presentations to secure new business.
  • Record and manage sales activity through the CRM system.
  • Work collaboratively with the local team to support business development and learner enrolment targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly new business targets through proactive business development activity.
  • Liaise with area managers and internal teams to progress opportunities.
  • Gather and share client feedback and market intelligence with relevant departments.

About You

Our client is seeking a proactive and confident individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a business development role.
  • Proven experience of new business development and lead generation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities and the initiative to work independently.
  • Experience within the further education or apprenticeship sector would be advantageous.
