Area Sales Manager in Leicester, Leicestershire

Midlands - Field Based
£55,000-£45,000 including bonus

We're recruiting an Area Sales Manager for an established plumbing and heating merchant with a major branch network across the Midlands.

This is a field-based sales role focused on growing existing accounts, winning new customers and increasing sales across plumbing, heating and renewable products throughout the region.

• Manage and grow a portfolio of trade customers across the Midlands

• Develop relationships with plumbers, heating engineers and contractors

• Identify and win new business across the territory

• Increase spend and product penetration within existing accounts

• Promote plumbing, heating and renewable product ranges

• Conduct regular customer visits and account reviews

• Identify upcoming projects and sales opportunities

• Produce quotations and negotiate commercial terms

• Work closely with local branches to develop regional sales

• Support product launches and supplier initiatives

• Monitor competitor activity and market opportunities

• Manage your own territory, pipeline and sales targets

• Field sales experience within plumbing, heating or HVAC

• Merchant or distributor experience highly advantageous

• Strong relationships with installers and contractors

• Good knowledge of plumbing and heating products

• Renewables / heat pump knowledge advantageous

• Proven track record of developing existing accounts

• Confident winning new business

• Commercially driven and comfortable negotiating

• Able to manage a large geographical territory independently

• Full UK driving licence

• £45,000-£55,000 basic

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or merchant sales professional who knows the Midlands plumbing and heating market.

You'll have an established branch network behind you while being given the autonomy to develop your territory, build contractor relationships and grow sales across both traditional heating and the developing renewables market.
