Asbestos Analyst
Location: Swanley, Kent – covering London and the South East
Salary: £32,000–£40,000 per annum

The Company
Our client is an established and growing environmental consultancy delivering asbestos surveying, analytical and compliance services across commercial, residential, industrial and public-sector environments.
The business has built a strong reputation for maintaining high technical standards, investing in its employees and developing long-term relationships with clients.
Due to continued growth across London and the South East, they are looking to recruit an experienced Asbestos Analyst to join their analytical team.
The Role
Working across a varied portfolio of sites, you will be responsible for carrying out asbestos air monitoring, four-stage clearances, visual inspections and associated analytical reporting.
The successful Asbestos Analyst will work closely with clients, licensed removal contractors and site stakeholders to ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and in line with current legislation, UKAS requirements and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out four-stage clearances in accordance with HSG248 guidance.
- Complete background, reassurance, leak and personal air monitoring.
- Undertake visual inspections on asbestos removal projects.
- Conduct site audits and monitor contractor compliance.
- Produce accurate analytical reports and technical documentation.
- Work across commercial, residential and industrial environments.
- Maintain compliance with asbestos legislation and UKAS requirements.
- Build professional relationships with clients and contractors.
- Support trainee analysts where appropriate.
- Contribute to continued improvements in quality and compliance.
Requirements
The ideal Asbestos Analyst will have:
- BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications or equivalent.
- Previous experience within an asbestos analytical position.
- Experience completing four-stage clearances.
- Strong knowledge of HSG248 and relevant asbestos legislation.
- Experience conducting air monitoring activities.
- Excellent attention to detail and report-writing skills.
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
Training and Progression
