Assembly Operative

Location: Reading
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a busy manufacturing team based in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is looking to develop their experience within an electrical and mechanical assembly environment.

As an Assembly Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical assembly work
• Assembling electrical and mechanical components accurately to instructions and specifications
• Using a variety of hand tools and assembly equipment
• Working with small components and parts
• Following drawings, work instructions and manufacturing procedures
• Carrying out basic quality checks on completed assemblies

We would like to hear from candidates who:

• Have experience within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Are comfortable carrying out precise, hands-on assembly work
• Have a reliable and positive attitude
• Are able to work the 2:30pm – 11:00pm Monday to Friday shift
• Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
