Assistant Director of Campus Operations
Salary negotiable upon experience + an excellent benefits package
Create a culture of FM delivery excellence to deliver a world-class student and staff experience.
The University of Lincoln is entering an exciting phase of transformation, with ambitious plans to ensure its campuses and physical environments support academic excellence, operational resilience, and an outstanding student and staff experience. Our purpose is to improve lives and communities by attracting global talent and driving technological and digital innovation across key sectors.
Our ambition is clear: to be ranked among the Top 40 UK universities and Top 500 globally by 2030, and to be recognised in the Top 15 UK universities by 2050. To enable this, we have ambitious plans to evolve our physical and digital environments in ways that reflect our values, support our academic mission, and enhance the experience of our students, staff, and wider community.
The Assistant Director of Campus Operations provides strategic-functional leadership for the University’s campus operations services, ensuring our physical estate is safe, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose. The postholder is accountable for the operational strategy, procurement, performance and continuous improvement of campus operations, including facilities management, maintenance, asset management, statutory compliance, security and contracted operational services.
Working as a senior leader within Campus Services, the role translates strategic direction into clear operational priorities, service standards and investment plans, balancing operational resilience, customer experience, risk management and value for money. The role will suit FM leaders with a proven track record in delivering cutting-edge services across a similar diverse and multi-site estate. We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a commercial outlook and a track record of managing large diverse estates operational teams in addition to outsourced contracts. To be a success in the role, we are seeking an individual with outstanding stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills, who is both results focused and customer-centric in approach.
