Assistant Manager – Luxury Jewellery

Location: Lakeside Shopping Centre

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including weekends and public holidays on a rota

The role

Diamonds Factory is looking for a confident and commercially minded Assistant Manager to join our Lakeside team.

Working alongside the Store Manager, you’ll help lead a small team, drive sales performance and create the warm, personal service our customers expect when choosing engagement rings, wedding jewellery and other meaningful pieces.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be visible on the shop floor, supporting customers, coaching colleagues and helping keep the store running smoothly. When the Store Manager is away, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, motivate and coach the store team to achieve individual and store targets
• Lead by example and deliver a personalised, consultative customer experience
• Build genuine relationships with clients and help them find the right jewellery for their occasion
• Monitor sales performance, conversion and average order value
• Support rotas, stocktakes, visual merchandising and daily store operations
• Develop strong knowledge of diamonds, jewellery, materials and craftsmanship
• Manage customer enquiries, bespoke orders and CRM activity accurately
• Take ownership of the store in the Store Manager’s absence

The person

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in jewellery, luxury retail, fashion, watches, beauty or another premium retail environment
• Has previous supervisory, team leader or assistant management experience
• Is confident coaching and motivating others
• Enjoys working towards sales targets and understands retail KPIs
• Can build genuine relationships with customers and deliver a high-end service
• Is comfortable handling valuable products and important customer purchases
• Has strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
• Is organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility when required
• Has a genuine interest in jewellery, luxury retail and customer experience
