Assistant Technical Services Manager

A growing main contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Technical Services Manager to join a high-value, technically complex project.

This is a hands-on technical role, working closely with the Project Manager, design team, consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure the project is technically coordinated and delivered effectively.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Technical Services Manager with the technical delivery of the project.
• Coordinating design information between consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Managing technical queries, RFIs, approvals and design changes.
• Identifying technical issues early and driving them through to resolution.
• Reviewing design information for buildability, coordination and compliance.
• Working closely with the site team to ensure technical requirements are understood and delivered.
• Supporting programme and commercial objectives through effective technical management.
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background within the construction industry, ideally with experience working on complex projects.

You’ll need:

• Experience in a Technical Services, Technical, Design Management or similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction, design coordination and buildability.
• Experience managing technical queries and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical teams.
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify problems and drive solutions.
