They're now looking to recruit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who wants to learn from experienced professionals, gain real project exposure and build a long-term career within a business that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll work alongside an experienced commercial team, gaining hands-on involvement throughout the full project lifecycle on major civil engineering schemes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the commercial management of projects valued between £5m and £20m
- Supporting cost reporting, forecasting and budget control
- Preparing valuations, variations and payment applications
- Assisting with subcontractor procurement and account management
- Monitoring project performance alongside operational teams
- Helping produce commercial reports and financial information
- Building relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors while developing your commercial knowledge
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- A genuine interest in civil engineering and commercial management
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)
- £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
