A fantastic opportunity for someone with quantity surveying experience to join a family-run main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects. You will join a thriving business working on transitional construction projects with a number of exciting developments in and around Herefordshire.

Established for almost a century, this well-respected principal contractor delivers a diverse range of residential and commercial projects. Despite challenging market conditions, the business has continued to grow by securing a strong pipeline of housing association work, providing long-term stability and consistent growth. With several new residential developments due to commence, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team by appointing an additional Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding work.

In this role, you will take responsibility of residential projects from concept to completion. Duties include cost management, subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while working closely with site teams, clients, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will have strong JCT contract knowledge and experience pricing for residential projects. You will have strong communication and organisational skills and be motivated to develop your career.

The role

• Managing cost control across residential and commercial construction projects
• Producing bills of quantities and assisting with procurement of subcontract packages
• Preparing monthly valuations, cost reports, and CVRs
• Managing projects through to final accounts

The person

• Quantity Surveying background within construction
• Experience working with JCT contracts
• Experience on residential and/or commercial projects
• Full UK driving licence and commutable to Leominster
