The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team, covering East Birmingham, Coleshill and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career away from working on the tools, or for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) looking to progress into a more site-focused management role.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within social housing, housing refurbishment, construction, or a similar environment, with strong communication and organisational skills.

The Role

Working alongside the Site Manager and wider project team, you will assist with the day-to-day management and coordination of programmes, helping to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.

Projects may include:

  • Kitchen and bathroom upgrades

  • Roofing programmes

  • Window replacement programmes

  • PV/solar upgrades

  • General planned maintenance and refurbishment works

You will also play an important role in liaising with clients, residents and tenants, ensuring they are kept informed throughout the works and receive clear information and updates regarding programmes and timescales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management and coordination of refurbishment programmes

  • Monitor progress to help ensure works are completed within agreed timescales

  • Liaise with clients, residents, tenants and contractors

  • Provide regular updates on programme progress and upcoming works

  • Help resolve issues and queries throughout the programme

  • Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of projects

  • Assist in maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety

  • Help coordinate operatives and subcontractors where required

  • Maintain accurate records and programme information

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking to candidates who have:

  • Experience within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or a similar sector

  • Previous experience as an RLO, Site Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager or similar

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities

  • The confidence to communicate with tenants, clients and contractors

  • A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A genuine desire to develop and progress within site management

You don't necessarily need to have extensive Site Management experience. If you're currently working in an RLO, supervisory or similar role and are ready to take the next step, we'd like to hear from you.

What We Offer
  • £40,000–£42,000 starting salary

  • Company car or car allowance

  • Opportunities for career progression and development

  • The opportunity to step into a Site Management position and develop your experience

  • Long-term opportunities within a growing business

  • Immediate start available

If you're looking for an opportunity to progress your career within social housing and refurbishment, and you're ready to take the next step, we'd be keen to hear from you.
