Assistant Site Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Site Manager for 2 weeks holiday cover to join a team delivering a social housing refurbishment project. Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, you will help coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

• Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives.
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting any issues or delays.
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks.
• Ensuring health, safety and environmental procedures are followed.
• Assisting with site inductions, toolbox talks and RAMS.
• Maintaining accurate site records, including progress, labour and materials.
• Liaising with residents, client representatives, subcontractors and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
• Helping manage materials, deliveries and site logistics.
• Identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimise disruption to the project and residents.
• Supporting the Site Manager with handovers, snagging and completion of works.

• Experience of working on social housing projects, dealing with occupied tenants and clients is essential
• A good understanding of construction processes and health & safety requirements.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage subcontractors and build positive working relationships.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid are necessary

Remuneration:

• £28.00 per hour
