Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

Fawkes & Reece are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our client as an Assistant Site Manager. This is a role for a savvy Assistant Site Manager from a residential/housing background.

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of a residential housing development. The project will involve the construction and delivery of high-quality new homes, working closely with subcontractors and the wider site team to ensure the development is delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities for Assistant Site Manager

Site Supervision:
Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations.
Monitor the work of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and build standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and progress.
Assist with the coordination, ordering, and delivery of materials.
Monitor build progress and assist in ensuring homes are delivered to programme.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment on site.

Health & Safety:
Assist in implementing and maintaining site safety procedures.
Conduct daily safety checks and toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Promote a strong health and safety culture across the development.

Communication & Coordination:
Assist with communication between the Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Assist with the preparation of site reports and documentation.
Coordinate with trades to ensure works are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
Support the Site Manager with the handover and completion of new homes.

Support Site Manager:
Provide general support to the Site Manager in all aspects of residential project delivery.
Assist in monitoring build quality and ensuring company standards are maintained.
Help coordinate trades and subcontractors to ensure the smooth progression of the development.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Construction Experience: Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager role, ideally within residential housebuilding.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Organisation & Time Management: Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a site team.
Quality Awareness: Strong understanding of build quality and residential construction standards.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to health and safety.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Qualifications: SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS Card.
Residential Experience: Previous experience working on housing developments or new-build residential projects.
First Aid: First Aid certification.
