Assistant Site Manager – Residential Housebuilding

Location: South Yorkshire

FFW Site Services are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join an established residential housebuilder on a development in South Yorkshire.

Working alongside the Site Manager, you will support the day to day management of the development, coordinating trades and subcontractors and ensuring plots are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Site Manager with the day to day running of the development
• Assisting with the management and delivery of the build programme
• Coordinating onsite trades, labour and subcontractors
• Monitoring progress, build quality and programme
• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained across site
• Ensuring works meet relevant technical, NHBC and Building Regulation requirements
• Maintaining a strong right first time approach to quality
• Attending build and sales meetings relating to plot progress and completions
• Liaising with subcontractors, customers and internal teams
• Supporting plot completions and successful handovers
• Assisting with construction and customer service KPI reporting

What We're Looking For

You must have previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding, ideally working directly for a new homes developer.

You will also need:

• SMSTS – essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and build programmes
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and Building Regulations
• Good technical construction knowledge
• Commercial awareness
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• The ability to effectively manage trades and subcontractors on a busy development
