Assistant Site Manager - Swadlincote

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a leading house builder on a temporary basis, working on a new build housing development in the Swadlincote area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to develop their career within a well-established residential developer and work as part of an experienced site team.



The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the development, ensuring homes are built safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the development.
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site operatives.
  • Monitoring progress against the build programme.
  • Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with specifications.
  • Carrying out regular quality inspections and addressing any issues or defects.
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and site cleanliness.
  • Assisting with site inductions and ensuring company procedures are followed.
  • Monitoring materials, deliveries and site resources.
  • Liaising with the Site Manager, subcontractors and wider project team.
  • Supporting the completion and handover of plots.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within new build housing.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction and build processes.
  • Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Relevant CSCS card and site management qualifications.
