Project: 60-Unit High Specification Residential Development
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000, £5k car allowance + package

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Site Manager to join our team on an exciting 60-unit high-specification residential development located on the Cambridgeshire/Essex border.

Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a premium housing scheme to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their career with a respected residential developer or contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the development.
  • Assist in delivering the project safely, on programme, and within budget.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers on site.
  • Monitor build quality and ensure works are completed in line with company standards and NHBC requirements.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections and maintain site compliance.
  • Assist with short-term programming and work sequencing.
  • Manage snagging and quality control processes.
  • Support the completion and handover of homes to customers.
  • Maintain accurate site records and reports.
  • Promote a positive site culture focused on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar within residential construction.
  • Experience working on new-build housing developments.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and residential construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, professional, and quality-focused approach.

Essential Qualifications

  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • NHBC awareness and experience.
  • Timber frame and traditional build experience.
  • Experience delivering high-specification residential developments.
