Assistant Site Manager - Wigan

Your new company

A well-established regional housebuilder is looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager / Finishing Foreman to support the completion of a live new build housing development in the Wigan area. This is an immediate requirement for a minimum 4-week contract, with the potential for extension.

Your new role

You will play a key role in the final stages of the build programme, ensuring plots are completed to a high standard and ready for customer handover. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage snagging works, oversee quality inspections and ensure health & safety standards are maintained across site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing finishing trades and plot completions
• Driving quality standards across all completed homes
• Coordinating and closing out snagging items
• Assisting with NHBC inspections and customer handovers
• Monitoring site health & safety compliance
• Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman or Finishing Manager on new build housing developments
• Strong eye for detail and quality
• Experience managing subcontractors during finishing stages
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
• CSCS card and First Aid qualification
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
