Assistant Warehouse Manager

Our client based near St. Ives are looking to recruit a full time permanent Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their friendly established team. You will be working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, with some overtime as required.  (40 hours per week)

As an Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will be required to provide support to the Warehouse Manager supporting and overseeing daily warehouse operations. You will lead a small team and ensure efficient goods in, picking, packing.

 Key duties will include;

• Supervise and support warehouse team across goods in, picking and packing
• Allocate workflow and monitor team performance
• Ensure accurate receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stock checks
• Enforce health & safety procedures at all times
• Support training, coaching, and development of staff
• Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
• Monitor KPIs 

Skills Required for the Assistant Warehouse Manager

• Previous team leading/supervisory warehouse experience with strong understanding of warehouse operations
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
• Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach
• Own transport is essential due to location
• Counterbalance FLT licence (Desirable)
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
