We are working in partnership with a highly regarded construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Associate Director / Director – Project Management to join their Cambridge team.

The Role
You will take a key leadership position within the project management team, with responsibility for:
- Leading the successful delivery of major construction projects from inception through to completion and handover
- Acting as the senior client interface, building and maintaining trusted long-term relationships
- Overseeing full project lifecycle management, including programme, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management
- Managing a small team of project managers, providing guidance, structure, and professional development support
- Coordinating and leading multi-disciplinary internal and external teams across complex schemes
- Driving project performance in terms of time, cost, quality, and client satisfaction
- Supporting business growth through client engagement, repeat business, and contribution to bids and proposals
- Playing an active role in shaping team strategy and strengthening delivery capability within the region
About You
We are seeking a senior project professional who is confident operating at Associate Director / Director level, likely with:
- Strong consultancy background in Project Management / Project Delivery
- Proven experience delivering complex UK construction projects across relevant sectors (life sciences, commercial, education, healthcare etc.)
- Demonstrable experience in leading client relationships at senior level
- Experience managing and mentoring project teams, including smaller sub-teams
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence project outcomes and decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when required
