A highly respected and growing engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Director to join its Bristol team and play a key role in shaping the future of its Temporary Works offering.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded Associate Director who wants more than simply managing projects. You'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, develop client relationships, mentor talented engineers and help drive the continued growth of a successful consultancy.



The Opportunity

As Associate Director, you'll take a leading role across a diverse portfolio of complex and challenging Temporary Works projects, working with major contractors, developers and clients across the built environment.

You'll combine your technical expertise with strong leadership and commercial awareness, providing innovative, practical and safe engineering solutions.

The role will include:

  • Leading the delivery of Temporary Works design and engineering projects.
  • Providing technical leadership and strategic direction.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities.
  • Mentoring and developing engineers within the team.
  • Reviewing and overseeing technical work to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple disciplines.
  • Contributing to the wider growth and success of the consultancy.


What We're Looking For

We're looking for an ambitious Associate Director with substantial Temporary Works experience and the confidence to operate at a senior level.

You'll ideally have:

  • Significant experience in Temporary Works engineering and design.
  • A strong understanding of UK construction practices and standards.
  • Proven experience leading projects and technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in business development.
  • Chartered Engineer status, or be working towards it.
  • The ambition to progress your career within a forward-thinking consultancy.
