Salary: £70,000/£80,000
Penguin Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Director - Town Planning to join their growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Town Planner looking to take the next step in their career, working across major infrastructure, strategic planning and development projects within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
The Role
As Associate Director, you will:
- Act as Planning Lead across a range of major projects and sectors
- Lead on bid preparation, tender submissions and framework responses
- Take responsibility for project management and delivery
- Lead and coordinate planning and environmental work, including EIA and options appraisals
- Work across major infrastructure projects and complex planning applications
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Support business development, work winning and market growth
- Provide leadership, mentoring and support to junior members of the team
- Work closely with environmental, engineering and design specialists across multidisciplinary projects
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A relevant Planning degree
- Chartered experience, with RTPI membership desirable
- Strong experience working on major infrastructure projects
- Experience leading large-scale TCPA applications with a proven track record of delivery
- Experience in DCOs, Hybrid Bills, Highways Act or TWAO projects
- Strong knowledge of the EIA process and environmental planning
- Experience in strategic planning and planning policy
- Strong project management and commercial coordination skills
- A proven ability to develop client relationships and contribute to business development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
