Working within a close-knit team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, develop client relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
The Role
As an Associate Geotechnical Engineer, you will work on a diverse range of specialist projects, particularly within the minerals and quarry sectors. You will be involved in both technical delivery and project management, supporting clients with practical and innovative geotechnical solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and delivering geotechnical assessments and investigations.
- Providing technical input on minerals, quarry, and earthworks projects.
- Producing and reviewing geotechnical reports, specifications, and assessments.
- Undertaking slope stability, rock mechanics, and ground behaviour assessments.
- Supporting project planning, delivery, and commercial management.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
- Contributing to the continued development and success of the consultancy.
Requirements
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience within geotechnical consultancy.
- Experience working on minerals, quarrying, mining, or earthworks projects would be highly advantageous.
- Strong technical understanding of geotechnical principles and ground investigation.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects and develop client relationships.
- Chartered status or working towards chartership would be desirable.
