Reached the point where you're ready to lead major hydraulic modelling projects rather than simply deliver individual pieces of modelling work?

This Cork opportunity combines technical leadership with project, client and team responsibility. You'll lead complex flood risk and hydraulic modelling studies from planning through to detailed design, while remaining close to the technical work.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

* Leading complex hydraulic modelling and flood risk projects
* Technical review and oversight of modelling work
* Delivering projects from planning through to detailed design
* Working with TUFLOW, including ESTRY, and Flood Modeller
* Managing projects, clients and key stakeholders
* Supporting proposals and business development
* Mentoring and developing less experienced modellers
* Working across flood risk, water quality and environmental modelling
* Occasional site visits across Ireland and the UK

Projects span renewables, infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors, with additional exposure to water quality, sediment transport and major green energy infrastructure.

About You

You'll ideally have around eight years' experience within hydraulic modelling and flood risk, with a strong track record of leading and technically reviewing modelling projects.

You'll need advanced TUFLOW, including ESTRY, and Flood Modeller experience, together with GIS capability and a good understanding of Flood Planning Guidelines and relevant Irish hydraulic modelling standards.

You'll also bring project management and stakeholder experience, strong technical reporting skills and the ability to support and mentor less experienced team members.

Chartered status, or actively working towards Chartership, is required, together with a full driving licence valid in Ireland.
