Our client is looking to welcome an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to its team, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills, gain exposure to a varied client portfolio and build a long term career within practice.
With opportunities to work from either the Brighton or Horsham office, this is an ideal role for someone with existing UK audit experience who wants to continue developing within a supportive and progressive accountancy firm.
The Role
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain exposure to a broad range of audit and accounts assignments, supporting clients across a variety of sectors.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with statutory audits, from planning through to completion.
• Preparing year end accounts for a range of businesses.
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Carrying out audit testing, gathering supporting evidence and documenting findings.
• Preparing and reviewing working papers to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Supporting senior team members and contributing to the smooth delivery of assignments.
• Developing your technical knowledge and taking on increasing responsibility as your experience grows.
RequirementsWe are looking for someone who has:
• Previous UK audit experience within an accountancy practice. This is essential.
• Experience in accounts preparation and a good understanding of statutory accounts.
• AAT qualified, part qualified or actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
• A professional, organised and proactive approach to work.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A genuine desire to develop technically and progress within practice.
ACA students and those looking to continue their ACA studies are particularly encouraged to apply. Anova can support the ACA qualification, although ACCA study support is not available.
Benefits• Salary of £30,000 to £40,000, depending on experience.
