The Role - Behaviour Mentor
A well-established mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Enfield is looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join its pastoral team from September on a long-term basis.
As the successful Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4 who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You will deliver one-to-one mentoring sessions, provide classroom support where necessary, de-escalate challenging situations and implement behaviour strategies to help students remain engaged in learning. Working alongside teaching staff, Heads of Year, the SEN department and parents, you will contribute towards improving attendance, behaviour and academic outcomes while promoting a safe and positive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young people in a school, alternative provision or youth work setting. Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs is highly desirable. You will be resilient, approachable and committed to helping every student achieve their full potential.
