The Role - Behaviour Mentor
A successful mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join its dedicated pastoral team from September on a long-term basis.
As the successful Behaviour Mentor, you will support students across KS3 and KS4 who require additional guidance with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in school life. You will provide one-to-one and small group mentoring, assist with behaviour interventions, monitor student progress and work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral leaders and the SEN team to ensure students receive consistent support. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, improving attendance and encouraging students to achieve both academically and personally.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting young people within a school, mentoring, youth work or similar setting. Experience working with students with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs would be advantageous. Strong communication skills, patience and the ability to build positive relationships are essential.
