We're looking for an experienced BMS Engineer 🖥️⚙️ to join a well-established Facilities Management team on a prestigious static site in Stevenage.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Management Systems Engineer who enjoys working in a technically challenging environment where reliability, innovation and customer service are key. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation of the site's Building Management System (BMS), supporting critical building services and working alongside a skilled engineering team to maintain a safe, efficient and high-performing estate.

🔧 What you'll be doing:

✔️ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on the site's Building Management System (BMS) 🛠️

✔️ Diagnosing and resolving BMS and HVAC faults to minimise downtime and improve system performance 🔍

✔️ Completing scheduled maintenance tasks and ensuring all work orders are completed accurately and on time 📋

✔️ Providing technical support and guidance to the wider engineering and maintenance teams 👷

✔️ Maintaining and supporting the site's networked Building Management System 🌐

✔️ Monitoring system performance and ensuring the BMS remains fully operational at all times 📈

✔️ Coordinating technical queries with site teams and specialist contractors 🤝

✔️ Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the site's BMS and HVAC strategy 🚀

✔️ Managing user access and maintaining the integrity of the Building Management System 🔐

✔️ Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and site procedures 🦺

✔️ Building strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and site stakeholders 👥
 

👷 What we're looking for:

⭐ Essential:

• Proven experience working in a BMS Engineering or Technical BMS role 🖥️

• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills 🔧

• Excellent IT and networking knowledge 💻

• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload 💪

• Good communication and customer service skills 🤝

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures 🦺

• Ability to work to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintenance schedules 📅
 

⭐ Desirable:

• Experience working with Johnson Controls Metasys Building Management Systems 🏢

• BMS apprenticeship or relevant BMS qualifications 🎓

• Good working knowledge of HVAC systems ❄️

• Previous experience within a Facilities Management environment 🏗️

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint 📊
