Bookkeeper

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our Client in their rapidly growing finance team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing your own portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for their day-to-day bookkeeping needs
• Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions, including raising and entering invoices using Sage and Xero
• Processing sales orders and purchase orders accurately and efficiently
• Completing regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns while ensuring all HMRC deadlines are met
• Working across multiple currencies, bank accounts, and departments where required
• Assisting with CIS-related accounting requirements
• Producing accounts up to trial balance stage where required
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring financial information is entered correctly and on time
• Providing general day-to-day accounting support across your client portfolio

What We’re Looking For:

• AAT part- qualified / qualified
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts role
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting processes
• Experience using Sage and Xero
• Good understanding of VAT and HMRC requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to deal directly with clients
• Comfortable working independently both in the office and at client premises
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage your own workload effectively
