Role: Brake Press Operator
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:30 - 17:00
Pay: £13.00 - £15.50+ p/hour (DOE)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Brake Press Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sudbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sheet metal worker or fabricator looking for a long-term position within a skilled production team.

Brake Press Operator Duties:

• Operating brake press machinery to bend and form sheet metal components
• Setting and adjusting machines to meet job requirements
• Reading and working from engineering drawings and production instructions
• Measuring components using basic measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
• Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
• Completing general fabrication and sheet metal duties when required
• Using hand tools and supporting the wider production team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience operating a brake press or similar machinery
• Background within sheet metal, fabrication, engineering or manufacturing
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team

Training can be provided for candidates with a similar manufacturing or fabrication background.
