Branch Manager – Hydraulics Industry

About the Role
Osprey Engineering Solutions are hiring on behalf of a well-established company within the hydraulics industry. We're looking for an experienced Branch Manager to take full ownership of one of their local branches — leading a team of internal staff and mobile technicians, driving local business growth, and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and safely.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage people, inventory, quality, and health & safety, while also getting out into the local area to build the business and hit sales targets — all within agreed budgets.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking overall responsibility for the branch's performance and standards
- Leading, developing, and motivating your branch and mobile team members
- Ensuring the whole team delivers professional, timely communication and excellent customer service
- Assembling hoses from patterns or customer-supplied drawings
- Handling call-outs, both during working hours and out-of-hours
- Responding to quotation requests, pricing within company guidelines
- Acting as Quality Management Representative — maintaining Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management systems to ISO standards and group targets
- Providing technical support to internal and mobile hose technicians
- Recruiting, training, and coaching your team to meet objectives
- Carrying out and documenting checks and inspections
- Managing inventory, including regular stock checks
- Maintaining high branch housekeeping standards at all times
- Managing counter sales and cash transactions per company procedure
- Keeping systems and records accurate and up to date
- Key holding — opening and closing the branch
What We're Looking For
- Ability to lead, develop, influence, and inspire a team
- Minimum 2 years' experience directly managing a branch operation
- Proven track record in business development and/or direct sales
- Proven experience assembling hoses (relevant qualification preferred)
- Experience administering company quality and health & safety systems
- Experience with inventory management
- Fork lift truck licence preferred
- Good numeracy skills
- Good level of IT literacy
