Working within a busy and established branch, you will take responsibility for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the branch, ensuring high standards across customer service, stock control, team performance, health & safety and operational efficiency. Job Duties Include:
  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the branch.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the branch team to deliver excellent customer service and operational standards.
  • Ensure the branch operates efficiently, with a strong focus on productivity, accuracy and profitability.
  • Oversee stock management, ensuring accurate stock levels, effective ordering and minimal stock discrepancies.
  • Monitor goods-in and goods-out processes, ensuring parts are received, stored and dispatched correctly.
  • Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure strong communication between sales, warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Monitor branch KPIs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels and overall performance.
  • Manage and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain strong relationships with trade customers, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Ensure the branch is maintained to a high standard, including warehouse, trade counter and customer-facing areas.
  • Take responsibility for Health & Safety, ensuring all branch procedures and company policies are followed.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of branch employees.
  • Coach and mentor team members, encouraging a positive, accountable and high-performing culture.
  • Assist with implementing company initiatives, operational improvements and new processes.
  • Monitor branch costs and resources, ensuring the operation remains commercially efficient.
  • Work closely with senior management to achieve wider business objectives and continuously improve branch performance.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within the automotive aftermarket, motor factor or automotive parts industry .
  • Experience in a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Parts Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, branch operations and aftermarket processes.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team.
  • Strong understanding of stock control, warehouse processes and logistics.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of branch performance, costs and profitability.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills and experience using branch management or stock control systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
