Are you an experienced Bridge Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity?

We're working with a leading engineering consultancy that has recently secured a major framework with Transport Scotland and is looking to engage experienced Bridge Engineers to support the delivery of a growing portfolio of highways infrastructure projects across Scotland.

This role will involve delivering bridge engineering solutions across design, assessment and construction support activities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of highways projects through technical design, inspections, reporting and construction stages.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consulting engineer with a strong background in bridge engineering, looking to work on high-profile infrastructure projects with a respected consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

·Deliver bridge engineering and structural design solutions for highways infrastructure projects.
·Undertake bridge inspections, assessments and prepare technical reports.
·Produce engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation.
·Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
·Support construction supervision and site-based activities where required.
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
·Contribute to design reviews, technical assurance and engineering solutions.
·Support the delivery of Transport Scotland framework projects and associated infrastructure schemes.

About You

·Proven experience working as a Bridge Engineer within the highways sector.
·Previous experience working for an engineering consultancy.
·Strong background in bridge design, assessment, maintenance and refurbishment.
·Demonstrable experience delivering highways bridge engineering projects.
·Strong understanding of relevant design standards, codes and industry best practice.
·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
·Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Essential Requirements

·Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is essential for engineers supporting the Transport Scotland framework.
·Demonstrable highways bridge engineering experience.

Alternative Consideration

Senior-level Bridge Engineers who are not currently chartered may also be considered for other framework projects, subject to client approval.
Long-term and flexible contract opportunities are available, with hybrid working arrangements from offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Perth.
