Looking for a hands-on role where you can get stuck in? We’re looking for a Briquette Press Operator to join a busy manufacturing team in Corby.
You’ll be responsible for operating a briquette press, turning sawdust and wood shavings from the production process into high-quality wood briquettes. It’s a practical role that would suit someone who enjoys working with machinery, is comfortable with physical work and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
What will you be doing?
- Operating and monitoring the briquette press
- Keeping the machine supplied with sawdust and wood shavings
- Checking finished briquettes for quality and consistency
- Packing, labelling and palletising finished products
- Clearing blockages and carrying out routine cleaning and checks
- Reporting any machinery faults to the maintenance team
- Keeping the working area clean, tidy and safe
- Following all health and safety procedures
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Practical and hands-on
- Reliable and hardworking
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and handling
- Safety-conscious and able to follow procedures
- Confident working around machinery
- Able to work well as part of a team
