We're hiring a Build Manager to oversee multiple live developments, drive build quality, lead site teams and ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery from pre‑start through to completion. You'll work closely with Operations, Technical and Commercial, maintaining programme, resolving build issues and ensuring every project meets the standards expected by the business and its customers. This is a key operational role with autonomy, influence and long‑term progression as the division scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build quality ensuring exceptional detailing, compliance and finish
  • Site leadership including coaching, mentoring and performance management
  • Health and safety oversight, ensuring SMSTS‑level compliance and safe site operations
  • Programme management maintaining build progress, sequencing and resource planning
  • Technical coordination working with Technical on buildability, detailing and future timber‑frame interfaces
  • Stakeholder communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Problem solving resolving build issues quickly and maintaining momentum
  • Customer focus ensuring developments meet customer expectations and business standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Experienced construction professional with 7+ years in housebuilding or residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, detailing and sequencing
  • Timber‑frame experience helpful but not essential
  • Approachable, confident and able to build strong relationships with site teams and subcontractors
  • Exceptional eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality homes
  • SMSTS (or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational, communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Full UK driving licence

What's In It For You:

  • Competitive salary £75,000-£85,000
  • Car allowance
  • Benefits package
  • Opportunity to influence a growing housebuilding division
  • Exposure to traditional build, refurbishment and future timber‑frame schemes
  • Strong senior leadership support
  • Long‑term progression as the division scales
