Are you an experienced Building Estimator looking for a role where your expertise is valued, your input genuinely influences decisions, and you can work on a diverse range of refurbishment within the heritage and historic buildings sector?
 
Our client is a well-established and highly respected contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment projects across London. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Building Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team.
 
The Role
 
Working closely with operational, commercial and delivery teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for projects valued up to £5m.
 
Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Preparing detailed cost plans, estimates and tender submissions
    • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
    • Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work
    • Carrying out site visits and surveys where required
    • Supporting value engineering and buildability reviews
    • Assisting with tender adjudications and project handovers
    • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
About You
 
We're keen to speak with estimators who are:
  • Agile and adaptable in their approach
    • Comfortable managing multiple tenders and competing deadlines
    • Personable, professional and confident communicating with clients and colleagues
    • Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
    • Experienced in refurbishment projects
    • Looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable and growing business  
You will ideally have at least 5 years' estimating experience gained with a main contractor or specialist refurbishment contractor.
