Are you an experienced Building Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, Site Services Technician, Maintenance Operative, Fabric Technician or Handyperson looking for a varied, hands-on maintenance role?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established food production business in Barway, supporting the maintenance, safety and improvement of its buildings, facilities and site infrastructure.

You will work closely with the wider maintenance team and report to the Site Services Manager, helping keep the site safe, compliant, efficient and well maintained.

The Role

As Building Maintenance Technician, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, completing practical repairs and helping maintain buildings, fixtures, facilities and site services.

Duties will include:

  • General building and facilities maintenance

  • Practical repairs, fitting and minor improvement works

  • Painting, decorating and general site upkeep

  • Planned and reactive maintenance support

  • Maintaining fixtures, fittings and site equipment

  • Supporting inspections, audits and compliance checks

  • Refurbishment and continuous improvement projects

  • Liaising with internal teams, contractors and suppliers

  • Contractor management, permits to work and site access

  • Stock, consumables, spare parts and maintenance records

What We’re Looking For

You will ideally have experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, site services or a similar practical maintenance role.

The role would suit someone with practical repair skills, a good understanding of health and safety, strong organisation, and the confidence to deal with contractors, suppliers and internal teams.

What matters most is that you’re practical, reliable and comfortable turning your hand to general building maintenance, repairs and site upkeep in a busy working environment.

Experience in food production, manufacturing, warehousing, FMCG or another industrial environment would be useful, but it is not essential.

This role may also suit candidates working as a Facilities Technician, Site Services Technician, Maintenance Operative, Fabric Technician, Handyperson, Building Maintenance Technician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician.
