Salary: £55,500
Location: Kent with hybrid working

We’re working with a well established housing provider looking to appoint a Building Safety Remediation Lead to take ownership of complex fire safety and remediation programmes across their residential portfolio.

This role would suit someone who has genuinely led remediation projects within occupied residential buildings and is comfortable managing contractors, consultants, budgets and residents through live works from inception through to completion.

This is not a purely compliance or coordination role. They are looking for someone operational, commercially aware and confident taking ownership of remediation delivery within a social housing environment.
The role
• Lead end to end delivery of fire and building safety remediation programmes across occupied residential buildings
• Manage remediation works including fire stopping, compartmentation, fire doors and associated FRA actions
• Oversee FRAEW and Type 4 recommendations through to completed works on site
• Manage consultants and contractors across procurement, programme delivery, quality assurance, variations and snagging
• Monitor contractor performance, programme progress, KPIs and compliance standards
• Take ownership of project budgets, cashflows, forecasting and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate building safety information and Golden Thread records
• Manage project risks, compliance and resident safety throughout delivery
• Lead resident and stakeholder communication during live remediation works
• Manage Section 20 consultation processes where required

What they’re looking for
• Proven experience independently leading building safety or remediation programmes within social housing or occupied residential environments
• Strong contractor and consultant management experience across live remediation projects
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting and programme delivery responsibility
• Good understanding of Building Safety legislation, Building Regulations, CDM and fire safety compliance
• Experience managing FRA remedial works, compartmentation, fire doors and wider remediation activity
• Comfortable operating within pressured environments and making operational decisions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage residents, contractors and senior stakeholders confidently
• Experience with JCT or NHF contracts preferred
