Business Development Executive                                    Runcorn            up to 33,000 OTE

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing business for a Business Development Executive to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some sales, telesales or client-facing experience who is looking to build a long-term career in Business Development. You’ll receive structured training, hands-on mentoring and a clear progression path towards a Business Development Manager position.

The Role

Working alongside the Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Generate and qualify new leads through calls, LinkedIn and email
  • Research prospects and target accounts
  • Arrange meetings and site visits
  • Maintain and develop the CRM and sales pipeline
  • Support proposals, quotations and tenders
  • Follow up warm leads and build client relationships
  • Attend client meetings and gain exposure to the full sales cycle
  • Gradually take ownership of your own opportunities

What’s on Offer

  • £30,000–£33,000 realistic first-year OTE

Skills required:

The ideal candidate will have some experience in sales, telesales, lead generation or a client-facing role, along with:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A proactive, driven and positive attitude
  • A genuine ambition to develop a career in Business Development

Experience within Facilities Management, Construction, Property, Maintenance or Electrical services would be advantageous but is not essential.
