We are partnering with a high-performance B2B sales organisation based in Salford Quays to recruit a commercially minded Business Development Executive. This role is suited to driven sales professionals who excel in consultative selling, thrive in target-driven environments, and are confident engaging senior decision-makers in intelligent, value-led conversations.

The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will act as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This is not a high-volume, script-led sales role. Success is driven by the ability to understand client needs, identify commercial challenges, position solutions effectively, and generate high-quality opportunities for the wider Business Development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage B2B prospects via outbound calls and email using a consultative approach
  • Qualify opportunities by understanding client challenges, commercial drivers, and decision-making processes
  • Generate and book high-quality appointments for the senior Business Development team
  • Accurately manage and update all activity within the CRM system
  • Work towards clear activity, appointment, and revenue targets while maintaining strong conversation quality
  • Follow up on warm leads generated through marketing activity and previous engagement
  • Share market insight and prospect feedback to support continuous improvement across the sales function

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in telesales or B2B outbound sales
  • Strong track record of working to targets and KPIs with a consistent drive to exceed performance expectations
  • Consultative selling ability, including strong questioning, active listening, and tailored solution positioning
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage business owners and senior stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and resilient, with strong ownership of personal performance
  • Experience using a CRM system and managing a structured sales pipeline

What’s on Offer
Competitive basic salary of £28,000 – £32,000
Uncapped commission, with realistic on-target earnings of £40,000 – £50,000 in year one
Exceptional earning potential, with top performers exceeding £130,000 in commission
