Business Development Manager - Field Sales in Liverpool

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 basic + commission + electric company vehicle
Location: Field-based, with flexibility across the North West, Midlands and South West. Particular interest in candidates covering Merseyside, Liverpool and North Wales.

Are you a proactive salesperson who enjoys winning new business and turning opportunities into long-term customer relationships?

Our client, a growing services business, is looking for a Business Development Manager to help expand its customer base. Industry experience isn’t essential: your sales ability, appetite for winning business and willingness to learn are what matter most.

You’ll have an existing pipeline of warm leads to help you learn the service offering and quoting process, alongside a clear focus on generating your own opportunities.

• Identify and win new customers across your territory.
• Follow up warm enquiries and convert opportunities into sales.
• Generate new business through prospecting, networking and customer visits.
• Understand customer requirements and prepare tailored proposals and quotations.
• Manage the sales process from initial conversation through to signed contract.
• Work closely with branch management and the wider sales leadership team to support growth.

• Experience winning new business, ideally within B2B services or contract sales.
• A proactive approach to prospecting and building a sales pipeline.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• The ability to learn a service offering and explain its value clearly.
• Confidence working independently across a field-based territory.

Experience service sectors would be highly advantageous.

• £35,000–£40,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
