Talentmark is partnering with a fast-growing biotech company seeking a PhD-level scientist to join its commercial team as a Business Development Manager – Product & Services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career scientist looking to transition from hands-on research into a business-facing role. You’ll receive strong training, gain international exposure and have genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.
No previous sales, business development or commercial experience is required. If you’re a PhD scientist with mouse model experience and interested in developing a career beyond the laboratory, we’d be keen to hear from you.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with prospective customers to understand their needs, identify new commercial opportunities and support the development of long-term client relationships.
You will:
- Engage with prospective customers and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and potential customers.
- Support commercial negotiations and help secure new contracts.
- Attend industry conferences, exhibitions and trade shows.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support brand awareness and commercial activity.
- Work with internal scientific and commercial teams to help develop customer solutions.
- PhD in Pharmacology, Immunology, Biology or a related bioscience discipline.
- Hands-on wet-lab research experience.
- Direct research experience using mouse models is essential.
- A genuine interest in moving from scientific research into a commercial/business development career.
- Confident engaging with customers and building professional relationships.
- Fluency in Mandarin is essential
