Business Development Manager – Security Systems
Location: UK Wide (Hybrid)
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in electronic security systems and MOD sales? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing fire and security business looking to expand its presence across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful organisation with an excellent reputation in the industry, focusing on winning and developing new business within the commercial, government and defence sectors.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across the UK. Your primary focus will be on CCTV, Access Control and integrated electronic security solutions, with particular emphasis on opportunities within the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and related sectors.
Working closely with the senior leadership and operational teams, you will develop long-term client relationships, generate new opportunities and help drive continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the UK.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers within commercial, government and defence organisations.
- Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
- Produce high-quality proposals, quotations and presentations.
- Work closely with estimating and technical teams to develop customer solutions.
- Attend client meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Business Development Manager or Senior Sales role within the electronic security industry.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and integrated security systems.
- Experience selling into MOD or defence-related environments is essential.
- Demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
