Business Development Manager

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf of a client in Chesterfield.

Main duties:

Inbound Sales Management — Handling and converting incoming enquiries

New Business Development — Identifying and securing new opportunities

Full Sales Cycle Ownership — Managing opportunities from enquiry to close

Proposal & Quotation Preparation — With support from internal technical teams

Relationship Building — Developing strong customer and internal relationships

CRM & Pipeline Management — Maintaining accurate records and forecasts

High‑Value Sales — Working on deals from £30k to £250k with varied sales cycles

Target Achievement — Meeting and exceeding revenue and margin goals

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, technical sales, or solution‑based selling
  • Strong track record of closing new business
  • Experience managing longer, consultative sales cycles
  • Excellent commercial awareness and qualification skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities
  • Motivated, resilient, and target‑driven
