This is an exciting opportunity for an Internal Sales Engineer to be part of a leading automation technology business, supporting customers with innovative industrial solutions across a wide range of applications.

Internal Sales Engineer – The Role:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing sales support and technical guidance
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to order fulfilment and delivery
- Prepare technical product quotations and system configurations
- Proactively manage and develop the sales opportunity pipeline alongside the field sales team
- Drive office-based sales campaigns to generate new business opportunities
- Coordinate with order processing, logistics, finance and customer service teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide high levels of customer support
- Maintain accurate sales records, quotations and reports using CRM and ERP systems
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support long-term business growth
Internal Sales Engineer – What We're Looking For:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Machinery, Physics or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in inside sales, technical sales or customer-facing technical support
- Experience within industrial automation, machinery or technical product sales would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of commercial sales processes and customer relationship management
- Experience preparing quotations and technical proposals ideal
- Knowledge of CRM/ERP systems such as Salesforce, SAP or similar
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritise workloads effectively
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
