Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically minded Business Development & Delivery Manager to join an innovative manufacturing and technology business with a strong international presence.

This role offers the chance to combine business development, account management and project delivery within a technically advanced environment. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams, you will play a key role in driving growth, managing customer relationships and delivering high-value projects from concept through to production. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing existing customer accounts to generate repeat business.
• Identifying and securing new commercial opportunities across manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors.
• Leading customer projects through the delivery lifecycle, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Working closely with design, purchasing, finance and sales teams to coordinate project execution.
• Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Developing data-driven business development strategies and sales plans.
• Attending industry events, trade shows and customer meetings in the UK and internationally.
• Producing regular business performance and pipeline reports for senior leadership.

We're keen to speak with candidates who possess:

• Experience within business development, technical sales, account management or a customer-facing manufacturing environment.
• A strong understanding of engineering or manufacturing processes.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness combined with a proactive, self-starting approach.
• Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• A technical qualification or degree in an engineering-related discipline would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and overseas.

• Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
