Job Title: Business Development Manager / Sales Executive
Location: Hinckley (Hybrid – 1 day per week office based following initial training period)
Salary: £26,000 - £50,000 DOE + Car Allowance/Company Vehicle after 3 months + Equity Opportunity

An established and growing logistics business is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across same-day delivery, pallet distribution, parcel services, and specialist transport solutions.

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have an existing network within the logistics, courier, transport, pallet, or parcel sectors and can leverage industry relationships to generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and secure new business opportunities across same-day, next-day, pallet, parcel, and specialist transport services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities within sectors including logistics, distribution, telecommunications, manufacturing, and commercial industries.
  • Attend client meetings and present tailored transport solutions.
  • Generate and manage your own sales pipeline from lead generation through to account management.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure service delivery exceeds client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and cross-selling additional services.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within logistics, transport, courier, pallet, parcel, or freight sales.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and developing client relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Existing industry contacts and a network within the logistics sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience selling same-day courier services.
  • Knowledge of major logistics and parcel networks.
  • Existing relationships with organisations such as DHL, TNT, FedEx, DX, UPS, DPD, EVRi, Palletforce, Pall-Ex, Network Express, or similar providers.
  • Understanding of vehicle operations, transport planning, or HGV logistics.
  • Experience within pallet networks, freight forwarding, or specialist transport solutions.
