And it’s not a role where you need years of technical knowledge in HVAC.
It is a starting point into a long-term career in the HVAC industry — for someone who can talk to people, pick up the phone, and build relationships.
The Opportunity
We’re working with a leading HVAC manufacturer who is looking to grow their internal sales and business development team.
This role sits at the front end of the sales process. You’ll be responsible for creating conversations, identifying opportunities and helping develop new business across contractors, consultants and end users.
You don’t need to come from HVAC. In fact, many of the most successful people in these roles come from call centres or structured sales environments where they’ve learned how to communicate, handle volume, and stay disciplined with activity.
This is a development role with a clear pathway into external sales within 18–24 months.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Making outbound calls to contractors, consultants and end users
• Identifying opportunities and qualifying potential projects
• Booking CPD sessions and technical presentations for the external sales team
• Building early-stage relationships with key industry contacts
• Supporting external Business Development Managers with pipeline creation
• Managing and tracking enquiries through CRM systems
• Following up marketing campaigns and converting interest into conversations
• Spending a significant part of your day on the phone developing demand
What We’re Looking For
We are not expecting technical HVAC knowledge.
We are looking for:
• Experience in a call centre, telesales or structured sales environment (preferred)
• Confidence speaking to customers and decision makers
• Someone comfortable with high activity levels and outbound calling
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career in sales
• Good organisation and consistency in follow-up activity
• A local candidate who can work closely with the office team

In this role, success is simple:
• You are consistently generating qualified opportunities
• You are booking CPDs and opening doors for the field sales team
• You are building strong early-stage relationships across the industry
• You are learning the HVAC sector and progressing toward external sales responsibility
Progression
This role is designed as a pathway into:
• External Business Development
• Area Sales Management
• Key Account Management
Typically, progression begins after 18–24 months once you have developed product knowledge, industry understanding and proven commercial performance.
The Person
You don’t need HVAC experience.
But you do need:
• Confidence picking up the phone every day
• Resilience and consistency in outbound activity
• A willingness to learn a technical industry
• A structured, disciplined approach to work
• Ambition to move into field-based sales in the future
